Senator Joseph Manchin (I-WV) has joined the growing chorus of voices calling for President Joe Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race.

Manchin's Presidential Ambitions

Manchin, who caucuses with the Democrats, hinted at his own presidential ambitions in an interview with NBC's Chuck Todd. When asked if he would consider running for president, he replied, "I absolutely would consider it." Manchin has been openly critical of Biden's handling of the economy and the ongoing negotiations over the Build Back Better social spending package.

Manchin's comments come as speculation mounts that he may re-register as a Democrat to challenge Biden for the party's nomination. However, Manchin has not yet confirmed whether he will make such a move.
