Bayern Munich's Serge Gnabry sidelined with groin strain
German winger suffered injury in Saturday's 5-1 defeat to Werder Bremen
Gnabry expected to miss several weeks of action
Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry is facing another spell on the sidelines after suffering a groin strain in Saturday's 5-1 defeat to Werder Bremen.
The German winger was forced off in the 14th minute of the match at the Allianz Arena and was replaced by Leroy Sane.
Bayern have since confirmed that Gnabry has sustained a muscle strain in his left groin and is expected to be out for several weeks.
The news is a blow to Bayern, who are already without a number of key players due to injury, including Manuel Neuer, Leon Goretzka, and Kingsley Coman.
Gnabry has been in good form for Bayern this season, scoring 10 goals in all competitions.
He will be hoping to return to action as soon as possible, with Bayern facing a busy schedule in the coming weeks, including the Champions League semi-finals against Real Madrid.
